Calum Thompson, P.E., is currently the Energy Planning Lead at AECOM, where they specialize in campus and portfolio decarbonization. Previously, they served as an Associate Principal in High Performance Buildings and Communities at AECOM, leading a team focused on performance-led design. Calum's earlier experience includes roles as a Sustainability Masterplanning Engineer at Mott MacDonald Fulcrum and as an Energy Engineer at the SDSU Industrial Assessment Center, where their recommendations resulted in significant savings for manufacturing facilities. They also worked as a Lead Project Engineer for the Pacific Region CHP Application Center, conducting feasibility studies for combined heat and power systems. Calum earned their degree from the University of Strathclyde between 2002 and 2007.
