Damiano Weitowitz

Damiano Weitowitz is a multi-disciplinary Principal Ecologist specializing in HRA and Appropriate Assessment at AECOM since 2023, following a previous role as Principal Ecologist focused on HRA from 2022 to 2023. Their extensive experience includes positions as Senior Ecologist and Consultant Ecologist at AECOM, as well as a Research Ecologist at Footprint Ecology Ltd, where they investigated visitor pressure on European Protected Sites. Damiano also interned with the Frankfurt Zoological Society and served as a Research Assistant at the University of Cape Town. They hold a Master of Science in Integrative Bioscience from the University of Oxford and a Bachelor of Science in Animal Behaviour from the University of St. Andrews.
