Derick Wallis

Derick Wallis is a Chartered Engineer with 40 years of international experience in geotechnical support for major energy and defense projects. They currently serve as the Associate Director of Ground Engineering at AECOM, where Derick focuses on energy transition projects such as hydrogen production and carbon capture. Their extensive background includes positions at several leading companies, including KBR and Halcrow, with field experience in diverse locations such as Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, and Australia. Derick holds an MSc in Soil Mechanics from Heriot-Watt University and a BSc in Applied Geology from the University of Strathclyde.
