Doug MacLaren

Doug MacLaren is a seasoned Technical Director specializing in water, currently leading initiatives at AECOM to enhance the capabilities of water professionals across New Zealand. Previously, they held various engineering roles at notable companies such as Thames Water and KBR, where they contributed to multiple water infrastructure projects over several years. Doug began their career as a Graduate Mechanical Engineer at Thames Water before advancing through positions that emphasized mechanical and process engineering in the water sector. They earned a Bachelor of Engineering in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Strathclyde.
