Eric Kencel is a Lead GIS Specialist at AECOM, where they focus on developing innovative geospatial solutions for coastal engineering projects, including sea level rise mapping and flood modeling. They previously held positions at IIC Technologies, Apple, and the Smithsonian Environmental Research Center, gaining experience in ecological modeling, nautical map revisions, and transportation data analysis. Eric has also volunteered with URISA's GISCorps, contributing GIS expertise to disaster recovery efforts. They are currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Civil Engineering with a focus on Geomatics and GIS at the University of Colorado Denver.
