Gareth Collins

Gareth Collins is currently the Technical Director at AECOM, where they manage the UK air quality team across multiple locations, including Leeds, Croydon, Nottingham, Newcastle, and Basingstoke. With over 25 years of experience as an air quality specialist, Gareth has a strong focus on air quality monitoring and assessments, particularly for large infrastructure and transport projects. They have successfully project managed numerous initiatives globally, with budgets exceeding £10 million, and have served as an Expert Witness at Public Inquiries. Gareth holds an MSc in Atmospheric Sciences and a PhD in Atmospheric Chemistry from the University of East Anglia and the University of Birmingham, respectively. Prior to AECOM, they worked as an Environmental Scientist at CES from 1997 to 2001.
