Gillian Scott

Gillian Scott is a historic buildings specialist and archaeologist with over fifteen years of experience in the sector. They have held positions at AECOM as a Technical Director and Principal Heritage Consultant, focusing on built heritage appraisals and assessments. They earned their PhD in Buildings Archaeology from Queen's University Belfast in 2009 and have published extensively on late-medieval elite architecture of the British Isles. Gillian has been involved in both consultancy and academic research, serving as the Chair of the Castle Studies Group and regularly speaking at international conferences.
