Irwan Halim is a seasoned civil engineering professional with extensive experience in tunneling and geotechnical engineering. Currently serving as Vice President and Principal Tunnel Engineer at AECOM since December 2014, Irwan has previously held the position of VP and Regional Tunnel Practice Leader at URS Corporation from April 2008 to December 2014. Prior to that, Irwan contributed as a Geotechnical Group/Project Manager at Jacobs Engineering Group from January 1999 to April 2008. Irwan holds a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Civil Engineering from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, earned between 1986 and 1990.
