James Farrell, MSc, BEng (Hons), CEng, is a Chartered Engineer and Systems Assurance & Integration Specialist with extensive experience in rail and infrastructure. Currently serving as the Global Rail Systems Integration Lead at AECOM since 2023, they previously held the position of Rail Engineering Director at SPX FLOW, Inc. from 2019 to 2022. Their earlier roles include Technical Officer and Project Engineer at London Underground, where they contributed to the assurance and delivery of signalling systems. James holds a Master’s Degree in Systems Engineering Management from UCL and is pursuing an MBA at the University of Warwick.
