James Laird is currently an Associate Director at AECOM, where they focus on engineering and management in multi-discipline projects. Previously, they served as a Principal Engineer and Senior Engineer at the same company, managing design and delivery processes from feasibility to construction. James began their career as a Graduate Engineer at Amey, designing maintenance works for trunk roads, and also gained early experience as a Summer Student with East Dunbartonshire Council, assisting with bridge remediation projects. They hold a Bachelor of Engineering (B.Eng.) Honours in Civil Engineering from the University of Strathclyde, completed in 2005.
