John Simmons

John Simmons is a Technical Director at AECOM, where they lead ecology teams in the East and South East of England. With over fifteen years of experience in ecological consultancy, John specializes in ecological assessment, European Protected Species licensing, and field surveys. They have managed ecological inputs for various large-scale infrastructure projects, including railways and commercial schemes, and have extensive experience in producing ecological appraisals and Environmental Impact Assessments. John previously held roles as a Principal Ecologist with URS Corporation and as a Senior Ecologist with URS/Scott Wilson, and they earned a Bachelor's degree in Biology from the University of Nottingham.
