John Skinner

John Skinner is the Technical Director for Environment and Sustainability at AECOM, where they have worked since 1998. Currently, they focus on projects such as HS2, drawing on lessons from their recent work on the Wessex Alliance Project and HS2 Phase 1 EIA. Their extensive international experience includes projects across Africa, Australia, the Middle East, and Eastern Europe, as well as notable UK initiatives like the London Cable Car and Crossrail. Prior to AECOM, John held roles as an Environmental Planner at Aspen Burrow Crocker and as an Environmental Consultant at Dames and Moore. John holds a BSc in Rural Resource Development from Anglia Ruskin University and a PGDip in Environmental Impact Assessment from Aberystwyth University, alongside completing R&D related to environmental performance at the University of Hertfordshire.
