Johnny Wang

Johnny Wang is an Associate Director at AECOM, where they have been involved in utility substation and renewable energy projects since 2019. Previously, they served as a Senior Electrical Engineer at RCR Tomlinson from 2017 to 2018, focusing on protection designs for solar farms, and worked as an electrical and commissioning engineer at EHV Transmission & Distribution Company of Hubei Province, China from 1996 to 2003. Johnny holds a Master’s degree in Power Engineering & Science from UNSW and a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from Huazhong University of Science and Technology. With a strong background in distribution and transmission protection, Johnny emphasizes automation and communication in substation design.
