Jonathan Shipley

Jonathan Shipley is a highly experienced professional in archaeology and cultural heritage, currently serving as an Associate Director and Senior Archaeology and Heritage Consultant at AECOM since March 2011. In this role, Jonathan is responsible for producing archaeological and cultural heritage documents related to planning and development, including Environmental Impact Assessments and heritage statements, while also engaging with clients and stakeholders. Prior to AECOM, Jonathan held positions at Archaeo-Environment and Newcastle University, where a comprehensive education in archaeology was achieved, culminating in a PhD from Newcastle University. Jonathan's diverse experience includes working as a geophysical surveyor and participation in various projects both in the British Isles and internationally.
