Kai Nelson is a Technical Director at AECOM, leading digital construction strategy and implementation on major civil infrastructure projects across Europe. With over 16 years of experience in Building Information Modelling (BIM) and the Digital Built Environment, Kai has worked in locations including Australia, Singapore, the UK, and the Middle East. Previously, Kai held roles at Mace as BIM & Digital Engineering Lead and at Bouygues UK as BIM Manager, contributing to notable projects such as the Battersea Power Station regeneration. Kai began their career at Arup, where they served as Project BIM Lead for the Riyadh Metro project among other roles.
