Mark Hatcher

Mark Hatcher is currently the Cambridge & St Albans Bridges & Structures Lead at AECOM, where they direct and manage various bridge engineering projects and oversee resource management, training, and recruitment. With over 30 years of experience in structural engineering, they have specialized in the design of bridges, railway stations, and tunnels. Mark previously served as a Design Engineer with Local Government Technical Service in Papua New Guinea, where they designed rural footbridges and trained local counterparts. Additionally, they held the position of Chartered Engineer at Mott MacDonald, focusing on water retaining structures and coastal flood defenses. Mark earned a Bachelor of Engineering degree with first-class honors from the University of Nottingham.
