Matthew Abbott has extensive experience in the architecture and design industry, with a strong focus on aviation and interiors. Starting as an Interior Architect at Foster + Partners from July 1999 to September 2003, Matthew progressed to roles including Senior Interior Designer at United Designers and Project Leader at Pascall+Watson, where responsibilities expanded to Project Director and Head of Interiors. Following a tenure as Senior Associate at HASSELL, Matthew served as Regional Aviation Sector Leader at Woods Bagot from June 2016 to June 2022. After a brief stint as ANZ Regional Solutions Director and Technical Director for Aviation at Jacobs, Matthew currently holds the position of Aviation Lead at AECOM since October 2025. Matthew Abbott earned a BA (Hons) in Interior Architecture and Design from Nottingham Trent University.
