Matthew Warfel

Matthew Warfel is a Project Director for Water-Wastewater Projects at AECOM, where they have been since 2025. Prior to this role, Matthew held various positions, including Executive Vice President at ARRO Consulting, Inc., and served as a Graduate Research Assistant at Cornell University, focusing on particles in wastewater treatment. Matthew's earlier experience includes working as an Appropriate Technologist for Mennonite Central Committee, where they designed agricultural technologies, and roles as a project engineer in rural water projects. They earned multiple degrees, including a Master of Science in Civil and Environmental Engineering from Cornell University and two Bachelor of Science degrees in Appropriate Technology and Civil Engineering from Drexel University.
