Michael Derita

Michael DeRita currently serves as Senior Counsel at AECOM, a role held since December 2022. Prior to this position, Michael was a Partner at The Chiumento Law Group from September 2014 to December 2022, focusing on civil litigation in construction-related matters and representing clients in various courts throughout New York and New Jersey. Earlier experience includes serving as an Associate Attorney at the Law Offices of Walter T. Wolf, where Michael managed a diverse civil litigation caseload, and as a Law Clerk in the Construction Department at Parker McCay P.A., handling complex construction issues. Michael began a legal career as a Legal Intern at Classic Media, LLC, assisting in contract drafting and research. Michael holds a Juris Doctor degree from Rutgers Law School and a Bachelor of Arts in Communication and Theater from Rutgers University.
