Michael Jacobs

Michael Jacobs is a Principal Structural Engineer at AECOM, responsible for the principal structural design of the Top of Box level at MTR Tung Chung West Station in Hong Kong and serving as the structural independent verifier for the grit tank structure at Rouse Hill Water Recycling Plant in Sydney, Australia. Previously, Michael held positions as a Senior Structural Engineer for the City Rail Link Mt Eden/Maungawhau Station in Auckland, New Zealand, and as a Structural Team Lead at Aurecon, where projects included the Sydney Metro Central Station and the FIFA 2022 World Cup Stadium in Qatar. Michael's extensive experience also encompasses roles in coastal and ports engineering across various international marine projects. Michael holds a Master of Engineering (MEng) in Civil Engineering and a Bachelor of Engineering (BEng) in Civil Engineering, both from Stellenbosch University.
