Mike Tilston

Mike Tilston, PhD, is a Senior Fluvial Specialist at AECOM, where they focus on the geomorphic and sedimentary processes shaping the Earth's surface, with particular expertise in uni-directional flows. Previously, they worked as a Postdoctoral Research Associate at both the University of Calgary and Utrecht University, and contributed to the understanding of turbulence in particle-laden flows during their Ph.D. studies at the University of Ottawa. Their teaching experience includes aiding graduate students with GIS applications at Concordia University. With a strong background in fluvial geomorphology, sedimentology, and fluid dynamics, Mike employs a variety of advanced tools and techniques in their research.
