Peter Hurley

Peter Hurley is a Senior Data Scientist and Associate Director at AECOM, where they build models to quantify natural capital and ecosystem monetary flow for biodiversity net gain. They apply their expertise in Bayesian methods and data science to tackle complex environmental challenges. Previously, Peter held roles at the University of Sussex as a Postdoctoral Research Fellow and Innovation Partnership Fellow, where they established collaborations and advanced probabilistic de-blending techniques, contributing to over 30 published papers. Peter earned a PhD in Astrophysics from the University of Sussex and co-founded DataJavelin, a consultancy in data science and machine learning solutions.
