Riaan Burger is currently the Technical Director for Pavement & Materials at AECOM, a role they have held since 2022. Previously, Riaan served as a Senior Pavement and Materials Engineer at iX engineers (Pty) Ltd from 2018 to 2022 and held positions at various engineering firms, including Aurecon and ARRB Group. Riaan began their career as an Engineer at PD Naidoo & Associates and gained expertise in pavement and materials engineering with the South African National Roads Agency SOC Ltd. Riaan obtained a B.Eng. in Civil Engineering from Stellenbosch University between 1994 and 1997.
