Richard Newey

Richard Newey is the Head of Risk Management at AECOM, where they lead the Risk Management European Team and Integrated Controls. With over 35 years of consultancy experience, Richard has worked on high-profile projects including Leadenhall Tower, The Shard, HS2, and the Thames Tideway, as well as leading risk management for the London 2012 and Rio 2016 Olympic Games. Previously, Richard served as Head of Risk for a significant Homeland Security Programme at the Home Office and held various roles within risk advisory and management in different organizations. Richard earned an MBA from Bournemouth University and is also an accomplished athlete, having summited Mount Everest and completed multiple Ironman World Championships.
