Rick Walsh

Rick Walsh is the Associate Director of Ground Engineering and Tunnelling at AECOM, where they apply their expertise in geotechnical interpretation for above-ground and tunnel infrastructure. With extensive experience on major projects in Australia, New Zealand, Vietnam, and the Middle East, they have worked in various office and field-based roles, providing construction support and collaboration during the bidding process. Rick has conducted both land and offshore geotechnical site investigations, building a robust foundation for their career that began with educational achievements at the University of Melbourne, where they earned both an Engineer's Degree in Civil Engineering and a Bachelor's Degree in Political Science. Prior to AECOM, they served as a Trainee Engineer at Austral Construction Pty. Ltd.
