Roberto Loiero is currently the Head of Rail Systems – EC Europe and an Associate Professor at the Universidad Politécnica de Madrid, specializing in electrical power systems, electrical protections, and the electricity market. They previously held roles including Team Manager and Systems Director at AECOM from 2018 to 2021, and Project Manager at INSE RAIL from 2014 to 2017, where they oversaw significant railway engineering projects in Madrid. Roberto also contributed to railway systems as an Expert at CITEF UPM from 2007 to 2013, participating in various European research projects. They earned a Master's degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Cum Laude, from the Universidad Politécnica de Madrid in 2013.
