Shannon Smith

Shannon Smith is a seasoned marketing manager at AECOM since April 1997, specializing in developing strategies for securing upcoming work and participating in yearly marketing plans. As co-founder of the Secular Dharma Foundation since January 2017, Shannon integrates psychology and therapeutic modalities within Buddhist contemplative practices. Experience includes serving as development director at Cultivating Emotional Balance from August 2019 to July 2020, focusing on financial sustainability and donor relationships. Shannon co-founded and directed Refuge Recovery Treatment Centers, establishing the nation's first Buddhist-based substance abuse treatment program. Further experience includes fundraising coordination at Against the Stream Buddhist Meditation Society and business development at Taslimi Construction Company, Inc. Education was completed at the USC Marshall School of Business.
