Simon Middleton is an experienced rail professional currently serving as the Regional Director for AECOM’s Rail business in the Midlands, overseeing operations across Nottingham and Birmingham. With a tenure at AECOM beginning in January 2015, Simon has held roles including District Manager, where responsibilities included ensuring profitable project delivery, and Technical Director, leading the Track Asset Management discipline. Prior experience includes serving as Technical Director and Associate at URS Corporation, where Simon headed the Trackbed Technology Team, and as Principal Engineer at Scott Wilson, managing projects and leading teams. Simon holds an MEng in Civil Engineering from the University of Nottingham, earned between 1995 and 1999, and attended King Edward VI in Louth from 1993 to 1995.
