Tom Steer

Tom Steer is currently the Director of Industrial, Infrastructure, and Logistics Architecture at AECOM in the UK and Ireland, where they serve as the Lead Designer and Engineering Manager. They have held various leadership positions at AECOM, including as Practice Lead for the Middle East and Africa region. Previously, Tom worked as a Senior Architect with GAPP Architects and Urban Designers, advocating for transit-oriented development and mixed-use projects. With extensive experience in architectural design and management, Tom has contributed to significant projects such as the Gautrain Rapid Rail Link and other infrastructure developments across Africa and the Middle East. Tom holds a Bachelor of Architecture and a Post Graduate Diploma in Architecture from the University of KwaZulu-Natal, along with an Advanced Diploma in Professional Practice in Architecture from RIBA.
