Usman Khalil

Usman Khalil, PhD, serves as the Associate Director for Water Resource at AECOM since September 2025, where responsibilities include leading mid to large-scale water resources and flood risk projects, providing senior technical oversight, and managing project scope and budgets. Additionally, Usman holds a position on the ACT Civil Committee for Engineers Australia and previously worked as a Senior Water Resource Engineer/Hydrologist at eWater Group, contributing to the Murray-Darling Basin Water Resource Plans Model Evaluation. Prior roles include Senior Water Resource Engineer at the Murray-Darling Basin Authority, Associate Lecturer at the University of Wollongong, and various engineering positions with the Asian Development Bank, Water and Power Development Authority, and National Engineering Services Pakistan. Usman Khalil earned a PhD in Water Resources Engineering from the University of Wollongong and holds Master's and Bachelor's degrees in Hydraulics & Irrigation Engineering and Civil Engineering, respectively, from the University of Engineering and Technology, Lahore.
