Dr. Verya Nasri, PE, is the Chief Tunnel Engineer and Senior Vice President at AECOM, bringing over 30 years of expertise in geotechnical, structural, and tunnel engineering. Their experience includes significant work on various tunneling projects across North America, Europe, Asia, Africa, and the Middle East, specializing in design and construction support under urban conditions. Dr. Nasri has led tunnel practices at URS Corporation and STV, and has published over 240 papers on tunnel design and construction. They hold a PhD in Structural and Geotechnical Engineering from CentraleSupelec, as well as multiple degrees in Structural and Geotechnical Engineering from Sharif University of Technology.
