Walid Mahmoud

Walid Mahmoud has extensive experience in the engineering and infrastructure sectors, serving in various leadership capacities at AECOM from January 1984 to September 2023, including Executive Vice President for the Middle East & Africa and Chief Executive Officer of AECOM Arabia, where significant growth was achieved with an annual turnover exceeding USD500 million. Walid has overseen major civil infrastructure projects and served on the Executive Committee for regional operations. Prior roles include Principal Bridge Engineer for multiple significant projects in the UK and Portugal, and experience at Brown & Root and Kvaerner. Walid holds a PhD and MSc in Structural and Construction Engineering from the University of Leeds.
