William Leys is a seasoned environmental professional with extensive experience in water treatment and industrial microbiology. Currently serving as PFAS Lead Europe and Remediation Practice Lead at AECOM since January 2015, William has previously held the position of Senior Environmental Engineer at URS Corporation from December 2012 to January 2015. Prior to that, William worked as a Project Engineer at ARCADIS Belgium and Lyons Milieubeheer, beginning in May 2002 and February 2000, respectively. William's academic background includes a Master’s degree in Bio Ingenieur Water Treatment and Industrial Microbiology from KU Leuven, obtained from 1993 to 1999, after completing secondary education at Sint Aloysiuscollege, Geel.
