Daniel Owens

Daniel Owens is a Senior Project Coordinator at Aecon Group Inc. since May 2016, responsible for developing and implementing innovative projects, including a new build for Small Modular Boiling Water Nuclear Reactor and leading a response team that reduced building costs by $10 million. Previous roles at Aecon included Project Coordinator, completing significant refurbishment projects for Darlington Nuclear Units 2 and 3, and Junior Project Coordinator in a co-op position. Daniel's early experience includes serving as a Peer Tutor at Durham College, tutoring first-year engineering students, and working as a Machinist and Junior Technologist at A&C Tool Inc., where skills in advanced manufacturing and design were developed. A brief tenure as a Junior Graphic Designer at the Municipality of Clarington rounded out Daniel's diverse skill set. Daniel holds an Ontario College Advanced Diploma in Mechanical Engineering Technology from Durham College, completed in 2017.
