Jonathan Canales

Jonathan Canales is an experienced Traffic Manager currently overseeing the Deerfoot Trail Improvements Project at Aecon Group Inc. and managing the Highway 401 Expansion project at WCC. As the President and Founder of VIAS Traffic since June 2020, Jonathan combines leadership with extensive expertise gained from previous roles, including Traffic and Transportation Lead at Metrolinx and Senior Coordinator at WSP in Canada. Jonathan has also served as a Field Engineer Specialist and Traffic and Transit Coordinator at Crosslinx Transit Solutions. Jonathan's experience extends to project coordination and engineering roles with organizations such as Frontop Engineering, SIECA, and the Ministry of Public Works and Transport in El Salvador, where innovative planning and design for transportation infrastructure were key responsibilities. Jonathan holds a Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering from Universidad Politécnica de El Salvador and is furthering education at the University of Toronto and Ryerson University.
