Mark Scherer

Mark Scherer is Executive Vice President, Industrial & Chief Safety Officer, where he has overall executive responsibility for Aecon’s Industrial operating sector, including four fabrication shops, a paint and blast shop, facilities construction and major pipeline work, as well as Environment, Health and Safety (EHS) and Indigenous Relations activities across Aecon.

Mr. Scherer has over 30 years of experience ranging from the front line, through lower, middle, and upper management and has been integral in evolving Aecon’s world-class safety performance and culture over the years. His in-depth knowledge of the industry, outstanding people skills and experience at all levels of infrastructure development have elevated him into a sound executive leader at Aecon.

Mr. Scherer is also former President of the Pipe Line Contractor Association of Canada (PLCAC).
