Matt MacDonald

Matt MacDonald, CPA, CMA, CFA, currently serves as the Sr. Director & Advisor to the CEO at Aecon Group Inc. and holds a position as a Board Member and Treasurer with the Organization of Canadian Nuclear Industries. With extensive experience at Ontario Power Generation from 2001 to 2020, Matt played key roles including Director of Enterprise Strategic Initiative, where transformative change strategies were developed to enhance operational efficiencies and growth in anticipation of nuclear plant closures, and Director of Business Development, focusing on renewable energy projects and new business opportunities. Previous positions also included Senior Manager in Corporate Business Development & Strategy and Project Manager in Renewable Generation Development, overseeing various commercial and technical elements. Matt's academic credentials include being a Certified Management Accountant since 2008, a Chartered Financial Analyst since 2004, and holding a Bachelor of Business Administration with Honours from Brock University.
