Michael Dieleman

Michael Dieleman has a diverse work experience in the legal field. Michael began their career as a Wildland Firefighter and Crewleader for the Wildfire Management Branch, BC Ministry of Forests from 2005 to 2010. Michael then served as a Legislative Assistant for the BC Government Caucus in 2008 and 2009. Michael then worked as an Articling Student at Stikeman Elliott LLP from 2012 to 2013. Michael subsequently joined MDA, a global communications and information company, as a Commercial Counsel / Contracts Lawyer from 2013 to 2015. Michael then worked at Flatiron Construction as a Corporate Counsel from 2015 to 2019, supporting large pursuits and project operations. Michael then joined WorkSafeBC as the Manager of Corporate Commercial & Legal Services from 2019 to 2020. Currently, Michael is employed at Aecon Group Inc., where they initially served as a Senior Legal Counsel from 2020 to 2023 before assuming the role of Director, Operations Legal - West from February 2023 onwards.

Michael Dieleman pursued their Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science and International Studies at the University of Northern British Columbia (UNBC). Following this, they went on to obtain their Doctor of Law (J.D.) degree from the University of Ottawa. No specific start or end years were provided for either educational endeavor.
