Travis Spann

Travis Spann has over 18 years of experience in the security and cryptography field. From 2006 to present, they have served as President and President - Laboratory Director at AEGISOLVE. From 2002-2006, they were employed at InfoGard Laboratories, where they held three roles. Travis served as FIPS 140-2 Testing and Evaluations Manager, FIPS 140-2 Lead Security Engineer, and FIPS 140-2 Security Engineer. As FIPS 140-2 Testing and Evaluations Manager, they were the Lead Security Engineer responsible for testing process definition, development and enhancement of security standards, and acted as the technical authority for compliance to security standards. As FIPS 140-2 Lead Security Engineer, they trained cryptographic module vendors around the world on security standards, design principles, and development of secure infrastructure. As FIPS 140-2 Security Engineer, they evaluated and tested a wide range of IT products for compliance to applicable national and international security standards, with emphasis on cryptography, physical security and network infrastructure.

Travis Spann obtained a Bachelor's degree in Business - Management Information Systems from California Polytechnic State University-San Luis Obispo from 1999 to 2002. Travis also obtained a Cisco Certified Network Associate Security (CCNA) certification from Cisco in January 2002, as well as a Cryptographic Validation Program certification from the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST).
