Andy Gallagher is a seasoned professional in the actuarial field, currently serving as the Head of Capital Methodology at Aegon since October 2020. Prior experience includes a role as Senior Actuary at Prudential Assurance from January 2016 to October 2020 and an earlier position as Actuary at Standard Life from September 2005 to December 2015. Andy began the career as an Actuarial Trainee at Cooperative Insurance Society from April 2004 to August 2005 and initially worked as a Technical Support Engineer at Veeco from September 2000 to April 2003. Academically, Andy holds a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Physics and a 1st class Bachelor of Science in Physics and Mathematics, both obtained from The University of Glasgow.
