Demarest Barnette

DeMarest Barnette serves as the Vice President of the Board of Directors at Aegon since March 2012, while also being the CEO and Founder of the Barnette Group/Hope 2 Heal Foundation since August 1999. Previous experience includes roles in computer security at IBM and management positions at MCI and LYA from 2002 to 2006, as well as serving as Manager of Corporate Strategy at Auto Zone from 1999 to 2004. DeMarest Barnette holds multiple advanced degrees, including a Master’s degree from Harvard University, an MBA in Computer/Information Technology Administration and Management from the Florida Institute of Technology, and a Master’s degree in Management of Engineering and Technology from Northcentral University. Additionally, DeMarest Barnette completed a Bachelor of Science in Computer and Information Systems Security/Information Assurance from American Intercontinental University and another Bachelor of Science in Management Sciences and Quantitative Methods from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. Education also includes attendance at Therrel High School and additional studies at DeVry University and Liberty University, culminating in a Doctor of Philosophy - PhD.
