Derek Small

Derek Small has a diverse work experience spanning many years. Derek began their career at Edinburgh Royal Infirmary as a Project Manager in 1995. Derek then worked as a Business Consultant at Bank of Scotland from 1997 to 1999. Following this, Derek joined Standard Life in 2000 as a Project Manager, where they implemented projects using RAD methodologies. Derek later worked at Realise and Intelligent Finance as a Project Manager on short-term contracts. In 2005, Derek joined Royal Bank of Scotland as an Audit Manager (Change), where they reviewed controls within the Group's key transformation and change programmes. Derek also worked as a Project Manager at Intelligent Finance on a contract basis. Derek then joined Modis International as a Senior Business Analyst in 2013 and is currently working as a Consultant on an assignment with Standard Life. In 2014, they joined Aegon as both Lead Business Analyst and Lead Business Architect.

Derek Small attended George Watson's College in Edinburgh from 1977 to 1983. Derek then pursued a Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering at the University of Aberdeen from 1983 to 1987.
