Echo Zhang

Echo Zhang currently serves as the Head of China Business Development at Aegon, focusing on the company's strategic roadmap in the life insurance sector since July 2022. Prior to this role, Echo held the position of Chief Operating Officer at Ant Lending Global Company Limited and served as Director, Head of Financial Institutions Business Development for Alipay Hong Kong and Macao from April 2020 to July 2022. Experience includes serving as Vice President at China Orient Asset Management Corporation, where responsibilities encompassed private equity, mezzanine finance, and distressed investments from August 2016 to January 2020. Echo’s earlier career consists of roles at China CITIC Bank International Limited and Bank of China (Hong Kong) in structured finance and corporate finance, respectively, as well as an analyst position at Barclays Investment Bank. Educational background includes a Master's degree in Finance and Law from King's College London.
