Ali Masoum

Ali Masoum is currently the Principal Power System Operations Controller at the Australian Energy Market Operator (AEMO), a role they began in 2024. They previously served as a Power System Operator at AEMO and worked as a Protection Design Engineer at Western Power from 2014 to 2016, where they focused on protection design and settings as well as field support. Ali holds a Bachelor of Engineering in Electrical Power Engineering and is pursuing a Master of Engineering in Electrical Utility Engineering, both from Curtin University, along with a Master of Business Administration from The University of Western Australia.
