Andrew Smith

Andrew Smith is a Program Director at the Australian Energy Market Operator (AEMO) since February 2022, leading the Wholesale Electricity Market Reform program aimed at implementing market mechanisms and IT systems aligned with the government’s Energy Transformation Strategy to support renewable energy connection and ensure secure power system transition to net zero carbon. Prior to AEMO, Andrew Smith served in various executive roles at Western Power from October 2006 to January 2022, including Chief Information Officer and Head of Transformation, where Andrew Smith focused on enhancing information and communication technology within the organization.
