Ben Jones

Ben Jones is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in forecasting and risk analysis in the energy sector. Currently serving as the Manager of Reliability Forecasting and Supply Adequacy Stream Lead at the Australian Energy Market Operator (AEMO) since February 2019, Ben collaborates with the Bureau of Meteorology and CSIRO to integrate climate change risks into electricity sector planning. Previously, Ben held various roles at Western Power from April 2011 to January 2019, including Forecasting & Modelling Team Leader, Senior Asset Risk Analyst, Forecasting Analyst, and Project Analyst. Key accomplishments involve leading asset risk modeling initiatives, developing reliability performance forecasts, and implementing econometric forecasting methods. Ben holds a Bachelor's Degree in Economics from Curtin University, completed in 2010.
