Jenny Riesz is an experienced professional in the energy sector, currently serving as a Principal at the Australian Energy Market Operator (AEMO) since April 2016. Prior to this role, Jenny was a Research Associate at the Centre for Energy and Environmental Markets at the University of New South Wales, focusing on electricity market design for renewable integration. Jenny's experience includes a position as a Senior Consultant in Energy Strategic Advisory at AECOM and as Principal of Renewable Energy and Climate Policy at ROAM Consulting, leading numerous projects on renewable technologies and climate policy impact. Additionally, Jenny founded the Project Survival Pacific while serving as the International Climate Negotiations Officer for the Solomon Islands at the Ministry of Environment, Conservation and Meteorology. Jenny holds a PhD and a Bachelor of Science, both in Physics, from the University of Queensland.
