Lochana Perera has over 25 years of experience in the electrical engineering field, currently serving as Engineering Technical Lead (Limits, Analysis, and Development) at the Australian Energy Market Operator (AEMO) since September 2010, with previous roles including Principal Engineer, Senior Engineer, and Engineer. Prior to AEMO, Lochana held the position of Senior Power Engineer at Beca Pty. Ltd. and served as a Research Fellow at the University of Sydney's Australian Centre for Field Robotics. Early career experience includes roles as an Electrical Engineer at Ceylon Electricity Board (CEB), both in the Transmission Planning Section and as a Temporary Lecturer at the University of Moratuwa. Lochana completed a Ph.D. in Electrical and Electronic Engineering at Nanyang Technological University, along with a Post Graduate Diploma in Computer Science from the University of Colombo and a B.Sc. Engineering with First Class Honours from the University of Moratuwa.
