Matthew Myers

Matthew Myers currently serves as the Group Manager for Stakeholder Engagement at the Australian Energy Market Operator (AEMO) since February 2023. Previously, Matthew held multiple roles at Powerlink Queensland, including General Manager of Community and Delivery Services, Manager of Revenue Reset, Government Relations Manager, and Senior Corporate Communication Consultant from June 2011 to November 2022. Earlier career experience includes serving as Executive Officer for the City Business Division and Senior Officer, Publications Editor-in-Chief at Brisbane City Council from May 2009 to May 2011, as well as a Consultant at Phillips Group from March 2006 to May 2009. Matthew holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from The University of Queensland and a Bachelor's degree in Mass Communication with a focus on Public Relations and International Journalism from QUT. Additionally, qualifications include the Foundations of Directorship from the Australian Institute of Company Directors and certificates in public participation from the International Association of Public Participation.
