Michael Yang

Michael Yang is a seasoned engineering professional with extensive experience in the energy sector, currently serving as a Principal Commissioning Engineer at the Australian Energy Market Operator since October 2018. Prior roles include Senior Engineer, specializing in Operations Planning within the National Electricity Market, and Power Systems Engineer at PSC, where Michael conducted power system studies and dynamic stability analysis. Previous positions include Senior HVDC Project Engineer for Directlink and Project Coordinator for ABB, alongside experience as a Project Engineer/Manager at Transfield Services. Michael holds a Bachelor of Engineering in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from the University of Canterbury, earned between 1998 and 2002.
